To ensure you and your guests to have the best dining experience for your wedding, we have gathered some of our favorite catering companies for your consideration.
If you have a favorite catering company you are considering, please share their information before you enter into an agreement with them to provide service at our venue.
Catering Tips:
Always ask for clarification on what the per-person price includes. Typically, food alone costs about $12 to $20 per person. When services such as servers, dishes, silverware, delivery, and cleanup are added, the cost ranges from $35 to $100 per person. Consider what a meal out in a nice restaurant would cost. That is a pretty good guide for a per person catering quote.
Opting for the cheapest option isn't always economical if it requires you to hire servers, rent dishes and equipment, arranging pickup and delivery, and managing trash removal and cleanup.
Lavender Owl Food Service Requirements
To keep your food service to health and safety standards, make sure your food service provider can work within these parameters
We do not have a kitchen. There are no cooking or heating facilities onsite.
We do not allow BYO or DIY for groups over 20.Â
No onsite food prep.
Appetizers and charcuterie trays maybe brought in prepped, covered and ready to serve from a licensed facility (catering co. grocery store, etc.) and delivered no sooner than one hour before service time and cleaned up and removed two hours later.
Food service providers must be licensed by the Oregon Health Department
Catering or Client must provide/hire one staff member per 30 guests for setup service, bussing, and cleaning.
Setup and clean-up duties are the sole responsibility of the caterer in all food preparation and service areas
Paper plates, plastic silverware, and disposables are highly discouraged because of the garbage generated. We do not provide garbage service.
We are a pack it in pack it out venue. Caterers (or clients) are required to remove all food-related trash from the property. We provide trash cans, bags, and cleaning supplies.
